Charcoal Grill was first sketched out across a weeks worth of dish washing between Stevie Jónsson and I while working in a Hudson Valley Basement. We spent hours scrubbing dishes and began writing this song to help pass the time. Time passed and the song morphed into a verse chorus flow, and soon enough I composed an underlining instrumental to give it the hydraulic lift it needed. We'd jam the song through car speaks, headphones, and through our mouths, but it was far from complete. I left the Hudson Valley end of October 2019 and finished the track 2 months later when time allowed me to do so in the South of France near Toulouse and in Lyon
